Terms of service

These terms govern your access to and use of the Iosis website, application and hosted research services. Last updated 23 July 2026.

Agreement

By creating an account or using Iosis, you agree to these terms. If you use Iosis for a company or another organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind it to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into this agreement. Mandatory rights that apply to you under consumer law are not limited by these terms.

The service

Iosis is a hosted framework for declaring, validating and running time-series research graphs. Features may include graph editing, data transformations, validation, execution, storage and export. The available features and limits depend on your account and plan.

Iosis is research infrastructure. It is not a broker, exchange, custodian, investment adviser, signal seller or order-management system. Unless a feature expressly says otherwise, Iosis does not place trades or hold funds or financial assets for you.

Accounts and access

  • provide accurate account information and keep it current;
  • protect your sign-in methods and promptly report suspected unauthorised access;
  • use only accounts and workspaces you are authorised to access; and
  • remain responsible for activity performed through your account.

Access may initially be limited to approved users or testing cohorts. An invitation, waitlist position or account registration does not guarantee access to any feature or future release.

Your content

You retain ownership of strategies, graphs, source data, parameters and other content you submit to Iosis. You grant Iosis a limited licence to host, copy, process and transmit that content only as needed to provide, secure and support the service, comply with law, or act on your instructions.

You must have the rights and permissions needed to use and upload your content. You are responsible for its legality, quality, accuracy and any permissions required by data providers or other third parties. Keep your own copies of important content and exports.

Acceptable use

You must not use Iosis to:

  • break the law, manipulate a market, infringe rights or breach a third-party agreement;
  • access data, accounts or systems without authorisation;
  • introduce malware or interfere with the security, availability or integrity of the service;
  • bypass access controls, usage limits or technical restrictions;
  • probe or overload the service except through testing expressly authorised by us; or
  • resell or provide access to the service unless your plan or a separate agreement permits it.

Automated use is permitted only through interfaces and limits made available for that purpose. Rights to observe, study, test or interoperate with software that cannot lawfully be excluded remain unaffected.

Research and decisions

Validation can detect specified structural, type, dependency and time-alignment problems; it cannot prove that a strategy is correct, profitable, lawful or suitable for a particular purpose. Results depend on your graph, data, assumptions and external services.

Iosis does not provide financial, investment, legal, tax or compliance advice. You must independently review outputs before relying on them and remain responsible for research, trading, deployment and risk decisions. Do not use Iosis as the sole basis for a transaction or as a substitute for controls appropriate to your activity.

Plans and payment

Prices, billing intervals, included features, usage limits and applicable taxes are shown before purchase. Paid subscriptions renew automatically for the interval shown at checkout until cancelled. Stripe processes payments and may apply its own terms to the payment services it provides.

You can cancel a subscription through the billing portal. Unless the checkout or applicable law says otherwise, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period and access continues until then. Fees already charged are not refundable except where required by law or expressly stated at purchase.

We will give reasonable advance notice of a price change affecting a future renewal. If a payment fails, we may retry it, restrict paid features or move the account to a free plan. Your statutory cancellation, refund and service-quality rights remain unaffected.

Availability and changes

We aim to operate Iosis reliably, but the service may be interrupted for maintenance, security work, provider failures or events outside our reasonable control. No service-level commitment applies unless agreed separately in writing.

We may add, change or remove features to improve the service, address risk or comply with law. If a change materially reduces a paid service, we will give reasonable notice where practicable and provide any remedy required by law.

Our rights

Iosis and its licensors retain all rights in the service, software, visual design, documentation and branding. These terms give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service while your account is active. They do not transfer ownership of Iosis technology or give us ownership of your content.

Feedback is voluntary. If you provide feedback, you allow us to use it without restriction or payment, provided we do not identify you publicly as its source without permission.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using Iosis at any time. We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary to address a material breach, security risk, unlawful use, non-payment or harm to the service or another person. Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and give you an opportunity to remedy it.

On termination, your right to use the service ends. Provisions that by their nature should continue-including payment obligations, ownership, liability and dispute terms-remain in effect. Data handling after account closure is described in the privacy policy.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or death or personal injury caused by negligence. Nothing limits your mandatory consumer rights.

If you use Iosis as a consumer, we are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breach or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for business losses arising from consumer use.

If you use Iosis for business purposes, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profit, revenue, opportunity, goodwill or anticipated savings. Our total liability arising from the service is limited to the greater of £100 and the fees you paid to Iosis in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. This paragraph does not apply where liability cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms to reflect changes to Iosis, law or risk. We will post the updated terms and change the date above. If a change materially affects an active paid subscription, we will provide reasonable advance notice. Continuing to use the service after the effective date means the updated terms apply; if you do not agree, you may stop using Iosis and cancel before renewal.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you keep any mandatory protections provided by the law where you live and may bring proceedings in any court available to you under that law. If you use Iosis for business, the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.

Contact us before starting formal proceedings so we can try to resolve the issue. This does not prevent either party from seeking urgent relief or using any statutory complaint or dispute process.
